5th Annual
Rob Machado Surf Classic
|
| The
Grand Masters portion of the Rob Machado Classic surfing competition
was heated with stylish surfing from the likes of Richard Rudnick, Steve
Brill, Otis Sistrunk, Whitney Guild, Dale Dobson and others. In the
end, local surf master Dale Dobson was the winner in both the short
and longboard. The women were rippin' up the surf as well. All eyes were on the "Queen of the Reef" surfing event. Taylor Jenson continued to show his talent, making the most of every wave and making surfing look easy. After building a huge lead, Sean Richardson had to fight off a late challenge in the paddleboard race to claim first prize. Chris Lyle wins the Swim West sponsored 1 mile swim, and Jim Barton was the winner in the 1/2 mile. Hundreds of swimmers participated in the swim. |
